Black Heritage Events in South Carolina

Jubilee is a FREE celebration everyone can enjoy and features live music and entertainment, artist demonstrations, and marketplace vendors selling a variety of wares, products, and art. Enjoy live music, delicious food, and interactive activities for all ages on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

From it's roots in Africa to the Americas, and especially South Carolina, elementary and middle school students will be immersed in African American culture and history through a variety of activities including demonstrations, reenactments, performances and hands-on experiences. African American Heritage Festival will take place at North Charleston Wannamaker County Park on Friday, Feb. 26.

Discover the vibrant black culinary traditions of South Carolina and how women shape them with rising star chef Amethyst Ganaway and renowned artist Natalie Daise in this special museum event on Saturday, May 18th. Explore the rich heritage and savor the flavors from 6pm!

Join us for a weekend of delicious eats and treats at the 2025 Black Food Truck Festival, taking place on April 25-27, 2025, at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson, SC.

Every Saturday in February, enjoy a series of free events exploring Mount Pleasant's rich African-American history and Gullah heritage, marking the 5th annual celebration by the Town of Mount Pleasant Historical Commission.
