William W. Carson House

Stop 59 on the Fort Sanders Walking Tour is the William W. Carson House, built in 1903. The Carsons previously lived down the street (Stop 29). William and Rachel Carson lived here until their deaths in the 1930s. In the 1940s it was converted into apartments. Then in 1985 it was renovated to be a Ronald McDonald House, which is its current use.
