Harry & Varina Jenkins House by Barber & McMurry

This next home in Sequoyah Hills on the 2023 Modernism Home Tour, the Harry & Varina Jenkins house, has its similarities to the last one. It is a basement rancher with a glass box living room overlooking the Tennessee River. This time, though, the front door is on the rear of the house, as the driveway slopes up the lot. It has a mixture of light paint, black steel, and wood tones on the inside. The kitchen was recently renovated and the adjacent covered porch was converted to a cozy den.
