The Century Building

My next stop on the Downtown Home Tour was the Century Building. Also known as the Haynes-Henson Building from the shoe company that it housed in a previous life, it was built in 1886 in the Victorian Vernacular Commercial style. It survived the 1897 Million Dollar Fire on Gay Street, just at the northern border of the destruction. Back in the 2010s, there was talk of redeveloping it, but it wasn't until the past year that these condos finally were completed.
