David Junkin

Dr. David Junkin has spent 25+ years teaching engineers to design, optimize, and implement integrated circuits and related systems. He received a BS from Wofford College and his Master's and PhD from UNC. David has a passion for solving challenging, technical problems and collaboratively finding solutions—a passion that has driven his journey from studying Nuclear Physics to being an EDA Application Engineer, to a director of engineering in Japan, to developing Texas Instruments' signature onboarding program. As a Program Director for the Cadence Academic Network, he supports academic institutions to foster the next generation of innovators, ensuring that tomorrow's workforce has access to commercial-grade tools throughout their educational journey.
