Caswell-Pierce House

My next stop on the Fourth and Gill Home Tour was the Caswell-Pierce house, built in 1915 in the Prairie style. When the interstate cut through the neighborhood, this house ended up lonely and facing a busy street so it became a commercial building. Elder Care Law of Tennessee currently has its offices there. They have kept the built-ins and fireplaces in the house, which are on display in their conference rooms. The last two images (from Sanborn Maps and KGIS) show the difference in this section of the neighborhood before and after the interstate was built.
