Barcelona Travel Guide

In my junior year of college I was able to study abroad in Barcelona and it was without a doubt some of my favorite times ever. Between the culture, art, food, and events, it was unlike anywhere else I have been.
El Born
Easily top 2 coolest, most popping neighborhood. This area would be my first choice of location to stay. From food, to architecture, to safety, this neighborhood is ideal.
Gothic Quarter
The most touristy of all locations, but pretty cool as well. Would also stay here, it is a bit busy and lots of tourist traps though.
La Barceloneta
The neighborhood that borders the ocean. Worth a good walk and a meal or two. Definitely hit the beach, just be careful of tourist traps.
Guzzo
One of my favorite bars in the whole world. DJ in there every night mixing the funkiest music straight from CD’s. Also serves wonderful food and the owner is a legend.
MINT BAR
Came here all the time on Wednesdays, awesome Mojitos for a good price. It is under a restaurant in this really cool cave where they mix on vinyl. This place is definitely worth the visit.
Joan Miro Museum
Miro was one of the best and his museum hits the mark. I highly recommend going to this on your day of exploring Mont Juic.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana
Truly exceptional! I was able to grab a bite on a road trip, the food was absolutely fantastic, living up to its stellar reputation. The flavors were spot on.
DI FARA
Every layer is perfection. Everything from the dough, he sauce, to the cheese makes it a masterpiece of Italian cuisine.

L’antica Pizzeria da Michele
Tucked away Italian restaurant in Hollywood. Great cocktails, mouth-watering dishes, and indoor outdoor spaces. Take a friend, date, family, or alone, and have a blast.
Bear & The Wren
This is one of my favorite restaurants in SLO. The menu changes seasonally but some of the items always stay on the menu. We have never been disappointed by anything! Their bee stang Detroit style is incredible.
