Eating the World
My hometown of San Jose offers worldly gastronomical experiences for locals and tourists alike. Here are some of my fav spots. Updated regularly.
For the best seafood in Costa Rica there's no place like the coastline. But if you happen to be in San Jose and are craving a sea-feast, Gente di Mare will most definitely hit the spot.
Authentic Colombian food for the soul! Try the Bandeja Paisa or the breakfast options.
A true Costa Rican experience isn't complete without stopping by this local chain at least once. Enjoy traditional Costa Rican food and mouth-watering desserts.
Known for hosting local events, Arbol de Seda features delicious vegan and vegetarian food, amazing vibes, and an open and friendly staff.
Some of the best veggie and vegan options in San Jose. The ambiance of this place is wonderful and the service is 10/10.
My top restaurants in Asuncion, Paraguay. After a few years living here, these are places I keep coming back to.
Best cakes in town. Best cupcakes in town. Best cookies in town. Best ... you get the idea.
A true French bistro in the heart of Asuncion. La Galette is a tradition in my family and a fav spot for afternoon coffee or Sunday brunch.
Do not leave without trying their ginormous croissant. Thank me later. (Pretty solid coffee selection, too!)
Go for the wine but stay for the pizzas 🍷 One of my favorite spots in delSol, it's a great little spot for dinner or even a quick lunch. Beware: It fills up fast on the weekends.
Get the burrata pizza and a pitcher of sangria. Love the ambiance in this place and the oven-made pizzas. Recommended on a warm Spring night for the best vibe.
Here’s what you’re getting: XXL burrito, an order of totopos, and a mixed soft-tortilla taco order, down with a michelada or a coke for the non-alcohol crowd. Go late. And go hungry. Serves two.
