Fenton-DePue House

I went to the Fourth & Gill Tour of Homes back at the end of April. This is the first house on the tour, the Fenton-DePue House, built in 1886. It's a Queen Anne house at the end of this street, which was cut off by Interstate 40 coming through (see the dead end street, and stairs to the reworked 5th Avenue on pictures 3 and 4). George T. Fenton (the first owner of the house) had his own construction company, as well as a marble company called Gray Knox Marble Co., and lived there with his wife, Ella. In 1891 the house was sold to Eugene H. and Anna DePue, who made many renovations and additions to the house.
