The hotel scene in New Orleans has long been concentrated in the French Quarter and CBD, the vast majority of its bars and lobbies built to appeal to tourists, party buses, and holiday fêtes. Which isn’t to say that New Orleanians don’t find reason to visit those neighborhoods, stopping by The Roosevelt’s Sazerac Bar for a celebratory Ramos Gin Fizz or settling into the Ritz-Carton’s Davenport Lounge to hear a trumpet set.
