Powers-Sanders House

The last house stop on the Fourth and Gill Tour this year is another one in the picturesque vernacular style. Margaret D. Powers built this house in 1891 (her husband Silas T. Powers died in 1889). She died 4 years after the house was built. Her daughter, also named Margaret, and husband William Sanders took over the house. The house now serves as a neighborhood meeting space.
