Dado jig (bookcases)

This dado jig is made with just scrap pieces and screws, so it’s honestly simple enough for anyone to make! I’ve seen woodworkers make dado jigs with the adjustable knobs to make adjusting the thickness of the dado groove super quick. Maybe one day I’ll get to that, but I needed to make this in a pinch and honestly, screws work just as well! You can easily unscrew it and re-screw it in a different spot if needing to make a different width dado. For the router bit, it’s important to get a pattern or straight bit with the bearing on TOP. That is what’s going to ride along the flat edge of your jig to give you a perfect and smooth dado. Do you think you can make this jig?
