The Jacksonville Main Library at 303 N. Laura Street in downtown Jacksonville opened in November 2005 and was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects. The 300,000 square foot building houses art, sculptures, and architectural features alongside core library services including adult literacy programs, a Special Needs Library, digital borrowing, and over 14,000 annual programs and events. Open Monday through Saturday with extended First Wednesday Art Walk hours. The library hosts frequent author events, writing workshops, and community programs. On-site daily and hourly parking is available, making it easy to pair a visit with downtown dining or a walk along the St. Johns River riverwalk.
