After the difficult, sudden loss of my mother on 4/21/2024, as an only adult child,(this doesn't make my loss any more important than anyone else,I'm just saying),I was overwhelmed trying to make final arrangements for my only living parent. I had ZERO experience making these arrangements, so every decision was new.I just knew what she wanted in the event of her death.In our case, cremation. So after a few days of me "loosing my mind",I began my search for a company I could trust with my heart,my mom. .I understand to some,it's just her body,to me ,it was the reality my loved one is no longer in pain.She's ok. INPEACE stood out for their amazing communication, compassion, and support during this hard time. From my very first time on their EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE website, then the call with a kind soul named Matt, immediately after, the staff treated me with warmth and empathy I hadn't experienced elsewhere. Not even with people I know in person.And I get it.Life goes on for others,but right now,mine is out of orbit. I digress... He patiently answered all my questions, no matter how small, and ensured I understood each step of the process . He even texted me & kept me updated on everything I asked for.It wasn't fake,or telling me what I wanted to hear just for business.It was genuine.As an ER tech,I thought I was used to dealing with death and could just get through this.Ive now realized,you don't get through death You have to grieve.Theres no rules or instructions on how to do this It just happens.We all have our own way.There isn't a right or wrong way. You have no idea what a little genuine kindness can do for a person grieving. You have no idea the peace of mind you receive, from knowing your loved ones remains are being treated with respect by complete strangers .
