K9s For Warriors and Veteran Resources in Jacksonville
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Ponte Vedra Beach, K9s For Warriors is the nation's largest nonprofit provider of trained Service Dogs for military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma at no cost to the veteran. Paul Bednar volunteers as a Puppy Raiser and Goodwill Ambassador for this mission.
K9s For Warriors raised more than $32 million in 2025 and has maintained a 99% success rate in suicide prevention among program graduates. Based in Ponte Vedra Beach, the organization pairs rescued shelter dogs with veterans across the country, saving lives at both ends of the leash.
