There are some shells for those who like to collect. Free parking was so close to the beach. Would definitely love to visit again soon. I live close to this park and it could be a great park, but the pond is loaded with decades old trash. I'm about to go pick it up myself. It's in the middle of an upperclass area, but has been seriously neglected... Beautiful white sand beaches. Lots of public access parking up and down the shore. Lots of people out enjoying the day. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from 9am to 5pm according to the signs , kind of a bummer but I get it. We'll definitely be back! First time here. And first time beach trip ever for my two pets. I so enjoyed my time spent here! Everyone was very friendly when we visited the "Deck The Chairs" CHRISTMAS lights event. What a fabulous idea and we really appreciated the local folks from churches to universities to local merchants getting involved in this free to the public civic event!
