Vanilla, honey, cinnamon. And a regular who kept coming back. Ren was behind the bar. Caissen was on the other side of it. Long conversations over coffee turned into hangouts, then dates, then something neither of them had a blueprint for. The foundation Not a brand. Two baristas who actually worked in coffee. We didn't come from a group or a cafe empire. We came from being present in the work - learning what highlights the effort that brought that bean to the cup, and what makes a great shop by living it on both sides of the bar. 2024 A garage. Wood. An old IKEA cart. A lot of belief. We built our first coffee cart and set it up every day. Two sales felt like a milestone. Some days it was. Most days, we just kept going. Opening day The shop and the marriage started at the same time. Right as we opened the doors to Soul, we eloped in the mountains of Washington state — over coffee, just us and those who'd supported us every step of the way. Probably the most Soul Coffee thing we could have done. Today Built from scratch. One real step at a time. What you'll find here isn't a carefully curated aesthetic or a vibe handed to us by someone else. It's the creativity, craft, and community that two baristas in love built from the ground up.
