Posted on Google Swanny Aguilar 25 June 2022 Puerto Escondido is full of such amazing people and great tours, it can be hard to choose one but I'm here to tell you Eco Adventures is the best! I booked two tours with them, the turtle release and the horse riding, Efrain was our guide and he was amazing! He speaks both English and Spanish and made sure we had a blast! He greeted us on time, he even brought us coffee early in the morning at the time of our first tour! During the horse riding I was a bit nervous and kind of scared, he was with me the whole time riding next to me, made me feel safe and helped guide me the whole way, I felt like a pro at the end! Haha. I am so grateful for Eco Adventures and for Efrain and his team. We made life long memories! We will definitely be back again! Both trips were awesome, eco adventures are super responsive, pick up from hotel was easy and quick and our guides were knowledgable and spoke great English (which was much appreciated as our Spanish is a little rusty!). Shout out to Antonio who led our turtle release trip and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this operator if you’re in Puerto Escondido. Posted on Tripadvisor Alyx W 2 July 2018 Awesome morning in the water Had a great time with Puerto Escondido Eco Adventures. Kiko and the team were super friendly and made our morning perfect. We saw lots of turtles and literally hundreds of dolphins swimming alongside our boat. We also got to jump in and swim with the dolphins. During the boat ride our boat driver also caught a massive tuna, which he gave to us at the end and we took it into one of the beach front restaurants and they served us an incredible meal which included sashimi, ceviche and grilled tuna. He was very hospitable and took time to get to know each person in our group. Everyone enjoyed his charm and energetic personality. In addition to Kiko being great, the tour itself was magical in a sci-fi way. Swimming in the bioluminescent lagoon and seeing the beautiful stars is an experience I will never forget. My 9 year old daughter and I had an amazing experience with the horse riding and the hot springs. Our guide, Antonio is such a lovely guy and went out of his way to help us and make sure we had a good time. The scenery is beautiful and it was lis of fun with all the river crossings. Una completa estafa "No se dejen engañar por las fotos de internet; este lugar no tiene nada de paraíso. Es una pesadilla de suciedad e incomodidad. Para empezar, nunca hay luz, así que prepárate para soportar apagones eternos, calor sofocante, sin ventilador ni forma de cargar tu teléfono. La realidad de lo que vas a encontrar: * Contaminación y peste: La laguna está completamente negra, huele horrible y está llena de pescados muertos flotando por todos lados. Es un foco de infección. * Gente grosera y abusiva: El trato de los lugareños y lancheros es pésimo y déspota. Te cobran precios altísimos como si fuera un destino de lujo, cuando todo está abandonado. * Mugre por doquier: Hay basura acumulada en las playas y en el pueblo; no existe la menor higiene en los baños ni en la comida. There we took a boat through the mangroves and over to the town of Chacahua and had a late lunch. We took a short hike to watch the sunset then back on the water for the bioluminescence. Antonio took such amazing are of us and we had a magical time! So worth it being cash and bug repellent. And plan for a long day. It was just my husband and I and our wonderful guide Juan Carlos. Took a short boat ride to get to the kayaks. We basically had the lagoon and mangrove to ourselves except for the multitudes of birds and occasional iguana. Paddled around for a few hours and learned about the ecosystem and took lots of photos. Capped off the morning with a beachfront Oaxacan breakfast. Totally recommend this company. This was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone that appreciates natural beauty and doesn't mind waking up early on vacation! I will never forget seeing the sun rise on the lagoon as the birds floated overhead. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and we even enjoyed coffee while kayaking! I think we were out on the water for around two hours, but honestly my partner and I were so immersed that only the sunrise marked the passage of time. When we went there was one other tourist joining us in addition to the guide. Lunch on the beach after was also splendid. Really a breathtaking experience that I would gladly do again. I used them twice, once from Huatulco airport to our hotel in Puerto Escondido and again from PE to Oaxaca city center. We had Antonio and Juan Carlos as our drivers. They were both awesome! WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! The beach alone was truly magnificent! Our guide was kind and very informative. What I loved about THIS turtle release, is that it is not as commercial as other ones and we each got about 7 babies to release!!! (Other tours that I looked into do not let each person have a bowl of turtles!) I was already forewarned that some of the babies will not successfully make it all the way to the water because of the vigilant seagulls & frigates! But some do, and they are only 2 hours old when you release them - so it is amazing to see them automatically scamper towards the water. Then, we were able to enjoy a splendid sunset on the beach and on the ride back - we enjoyed cervezas and waters!
