CHS National History Day District Competition Awards CHS National History Day District Competition Awards The National History Day competition allows students to research and showcase their work through a variety of categories such as documentaries, exhibits, website building, performances, and writing papers. This year’s theme was Revolution, Reaction and Reform in History. The competition also allows for advancement to state and national levels of competition for those projects that Creekside Places in District Project Innovation Competition Creekside Places in District Project Innovation Competition A team of 5 Seniors representing the Creekside’s Engineering Academy competed at the district level Project Innovation Competition. Their project, VitaTap, is a more affordable alternative to the EpiPen where the durable casing can be re-used reducing the cost to just epinephrine refills and injection components after use. FBLA consists of approximately 70 competitive events and members are allowed to select one event to compete in, starting at the district level. Each state is allowed to send their top four students in each event to the national competition. The annual banquet took place on Friday, January 31st at the World Golf Village Renaissance Resort. This special event recognizes and celebrates all the outstanding professionals who educate, inspire and invest St. Johns County Project Innovation Competition St. Johns County Project Innovation Competition Three teams from Creekside High School participated in the 2025 St. Johns County Project Innovation competition, held in January at First Coast Technical college. The competing teams represented the Engineering Academy, Teaching Academy, and Environmental Science Academy. The Engineering Academy, Go Trax team, which included Tristan Smith, Chris Roa, Andy Tran, Parvathi ArathiPraveen, and Luke CyberPatriots Team 1st in State CyberPatriots Team 1st in State Creekside High School took first place in the state in the CyberPatriots Platinum Division. This team included Aidan McCabe, Josh Le, Adil Khan, Kylen Elliott, Nathan Bowman, and Adam Spees . The team of Prateek Kalusani, Haasith Penmethsa, Shreyas Sindhaval, Yaozhou Xiong, and Sathvik Vegesna placed second in the Gold Division. National semifinals will be held UNF FFEA Conference UNF FFEA Conference Congratulations to the senior Teaching Academy class for successfully helping to organize the first annual Florida Future Educators of America Regional Ramp-Up to States conference/competition at UNF! 130+ students from 11 nearby high schools participated. Creekside 2024 Yearbook Named “National Book of The Year” Creekside 2024 Yearbook Named “National Book of The Year” The largest printing company in the yearbook industry, Pictavo, has named the yearbook created by students at Creekside High School as one of its “National Yearbooks Of The Year.” From the company’s international network of yearbook creators, 10 publications garnered recognition based on their inclusivity, representation, overall reporting, writing and editing. In order to protect the health and safety of our students, our District requires that anyone (employee or volunteer) transporting students to and from school-related activities must receive prior approval. Parents: The most efficient way for your student to purchase food from the cafeteria, is to have them download their school ID onto their phones. When the app is downloaded onto their phone, the student only needs to open the app and scan the barcode at the register and it brings up their account information. This helps to minimize any issues that could come up and save time for the students to maximize the amount of time they have to eat lunch. FortifyFL FortifyFL is a mobile app and web-based tool that allows students, parents, and community members in Florida to anonymously report suspicious activities, potential threats, or safety concerns related to schools. The app immediately forwards these reports to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials for rapid response. School Access School access (proceeding past the front office of any school) is required for every individual that is not a staff member of the St. Johns County School District. This is done through completion of the district’s volunteer application . School access is good for 3 years. For help completing the online application, please contact the Volunteer Services Department .
