# Geometric Brand Identity Design for a Danish Café

"> ︎ TDB THE DESIGN BLOG Home               Archive               Creatives               Resources             About             Support             Shop   Submit Work BRANDING Geometric Brand Identity Design for a Danish Café Kafeteria by NR2154 The menu and experience at Kafeteria  combine Japanese minimalism and Danish culture with modern sensibilities. Sitting inside the National Gallery of Denmark, the café's interior is designed by Vietnamese-Danish artist Danh Vo. It houses Dinesen floors, Noguchi light sculptures, and furniture from Poul M. Volther, Nanna Ditzel, Enzo Mari, framed by ceiling arches and classical marble statues. Taking these cues, NR2154 designed a geometric, friendly, and understated lowercase sans-serif logomark that embraces the café's Zen sensibility. A custom typeface—based on the logomark—was also created to be used across promotional materials and printed collateral. Every touchpoint was designed using the custom typeface to build a cohesive brand voice that elevates Chef Frederick Bille Brahe and chef Jakob Kjær's culinary approach to creating simple, organic Japanese and Danish recipes.
