This guide is for everybody hows trying to find some bridge ideas, designs for their castles, homes or lands. If you want to put smelters in your house but they don't fit, then checkout my 200Iq smelter design in this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2415535156 I'll show to the basics so you can be creative and build your own bridges and also in this guide I'll give you tips and tricks how to build a bridge of your choice and I'll rate every single bridge in a list just like this: Rating: [✔️] Simple and easy to build? [6️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number ✨ Basics ✨ Building a bridge is not that difficult if you know what you're doing, but if you don't it can be really frustrating. So in this section I'll show you the basics that you need to know to build a bridge! Let's start with the structure and stability. So if you wanna make a bridge it has to be stable otherwise it's gonna collapse, to prevent that you can place "Poles", there's 3 different types of poles: wood, Core Wood and Iron, each types you have different sizes: Wood : 1m, 2m. Core Wood : 2m, 4m. Iron : 2m. Normal wood pole: If you're placing a pole and you start building platforms in a straight line then you can build 4 platforms before it will starts collapse! There's a little trick you can use if you want to extend it with one more paltform, you just simply have to place a 45° Wood beam attached to the pole and the other side attached to the first platform and now you can add one more platform so you'll have a 5 platform long bridge, let me show you: Core Wood pole: It's a little bit different bcs you can place 5 platforms on 2 poles without anything but if you're gonna place a 45° beam it's still gonna be 5 platforms. Iron pole: The iron pole is a bit different in some ways, you can only place 5 platforms as well but there's a little tiny thing you can do to expend the iron pole bridge, if you place iron beams on the side you can extend it with a total of 20 platforms. And one more thing it's doesn't matter how massive bridge you gonna build you can't add more platforms to it: Let's complete our bridges! So you're almost completed your bridge well done, now you have to complete the other side as well, place poles under the 4th platform, mirror the birdge and copy paste and don't forget to remove the middle poles, after that you will have this completed, magnificent bridge: (Also you can add more platforms to the middle and poles under them so you can have a bridge of your choice) Now let's talk about the sizes: Normal Wood pole bridge : Can be 8 platforms long without the middle poles. Normal Wood pole bridge with 45° beams : Can be 10 platforms long without the middle poles. Core Wood pole bridge : Can be 10 platforms long without the middle poles. Iron Wood pole bridge : Can be 10 platforms long without the middle poles. Iron Wood pole bridge with beams on the sides : Can be 40 platforms long without the middle poles. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Beam Bridge 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe Some Wood Rating: [✔️] Simple and easy to build? [6️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number It's gonna look like this: 📝 The Beam Bridge Guide and Tips 📝 This bridge is awesome from a lot of perspective, you can build this really easly, it's simple, and surprisingly doing very good in the protective side. You can walk thru if you're overweight, you don't have to press anything, it's great! One thing you have to watch out, and this is the middle 6 beams, don't put them too close bcs mobs will go thru, and don't put them too wide otherwise your cart will trap in between the beams! ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Run Bridge 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe Some Wood Some Stone Rating: [✔️] Simple and easy to build? [✔️] Can you use cart on it? [❌] Can you walk across, if you're overweight? [❌] Can mobs walk across? [❌] Can bigger mobs go thru? [❌] Do you have to press any key to cross it? [5️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number It's gonna look like this: 📝 The Run Bridge Guide and Tips 📝 This bridge is different, you have to be really careful to not fall into the little gaps. You have to place the platforms really wisely otherwise you gonna fall down in to the gaps! Also you can use it with a cart, but be carefull you have to run with it! ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Gate Bridge 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe Some Wood Rating: [✔️] Simple and easy to build? [✔️] Can you use cart on it? [✔️] Can you walk across, if you're overweight? [❌] Can mobs walk across? [✔️❌] Can bigger mobs go thru? [✔️] Do you have to press any key to cross it? Also you can pull a cart thru it, and if you're using iron for the gate and stone for the bridge then it will stop almost every threat that trying to get in. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Gate Bridge 2 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe A **** ton of Wood (for a little bridge) Rating: [❌] Simple and easy to build? [✔️] Can you use cart on it? [✔️] Can you walk across, if you're overweight? [❌] Can mobs walk across? [❌] Can bigger mobs go thru? [✔️] Do you have to press any key to cross it? [4️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number It's gonna look like this: 📝 The Gate Bridge 2 Guide and Tips 📝 It's not a bad design. If this is what you're looking for then I have to say you'll need a lot of wood, cause each gate cost 12 wood, or you can do it with doors witch cost 4/ea but they're smaller and much harder to build so I highly recommend you to use gates! Watch out if the gates are open then bigger mobs can walk thru, but surprisingly smaller ones can't. So you'll start like this with just the platforms. Then you have to snap a gate right under the platform, after that you have to open that gate. Now you have to place the next gate on the other gate that you just placed, and then repet it until you reach the middle, after that you have to change side and do the same. ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Log Bridge 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe 1 or more, Half Birch log (You can use long logs as well!) Must be birch otherwise it's gonna break! Some Wood Rating: [❌] Simple and easy to build? [❌] Can you use cart on it? [✔️] Can you walk across, if you're overweight? [❌] Can mobs walk across? [❌] Can bigger mobs go thru? [❌] Do you have to press any key to cross it? [4️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number It's gonna look like this: If you want you can build a bigger bridge for the cart, but watchout bcs mobs can cross that ! 📝 The Log Bridge Guide and Tips 📝 This bridge is really cool bcs if you're overweight you can still walk thru and mobs can't follow you. You can use long logs as well if you want a longer bridge, or multiple logs for a very long bridge, with a nice pillar in a middle, basically you can customize it as much as you want! You have to use "Brich Logs" otherwise the logs gonna break in the process! You should start just like this: You should build a little frame like this: Now you're gonna destroy the middle platforms: Now you're going to build the log support patrom: From this point you have to chop down a birch tree and bring the half log to the bridge, slowly push it to it's place and you have to destroy the last 2 platforms on the bridge, just like this: Now you're going to push the log to the other side and build it in so it cannot move. Don't squeeze it too hard bcs it's gonna start wiggle! From this point you just have to finish the bridge and destroy the support part, and you're done! ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ 🌉 The Jump Bridge 🌉 What do you need to build this magnificent bridge? 1 Workbench 1 Hammer 1 Pickaxe 1 Hoe Some Wood Rating: [✔️] Simple and easy to build? [❌] Can you use cart on it? [❌] Can you walk across, if you're overweight? [❌] Can mobs walk across? [❌] Can bigger mobs go thru? [✔️] Do you have to press any key to cross it? [3️⃣/6️⃣] Overall rate number It's gonna look like this: 📝 The Jump Bridge Guide and Tips 📝 Really simple to build you'll need some wood and here you go, but don't forget you have to jump every single time when you want to go to the other side!
