summary: "Understanding the LinkedIn Algorithm explains how LinkedIn's transformer-based sequence model determines feed visibility by analyzing user click patterns and engagement signals. The post reveals that reach decline isn't user error but algorithm behavior, and provides growth strategies including commenting on others' posts and leveraging the 72-hour traction window."

# Linkedin Algorithm | Steve Hanov

Steve Hanov 1h Edited Report this post You've felt it. we all have. Posts that used to get 4,000 impressions now get 600. same quality. same effort. A fraction of the reach. You stare at the analytics and wonder if you did something wrong. if the algorithm changed and you missed the memo. it's not you. Here's what's actually happening. everything you've heard about the linkedin "360brew" algorithm is fiction. linkedin never used that term. The real system is simpler: a transformer model that's been getting incremental upgrades for months. Its only job is to choose what to show in a user's feed. It's a SEQUENCE model, so it's based on the exact sequence of things they've clicked on before, and captures their changing tastes. The algorithm only wins if they dwell on a post long enough to read it. If they've scrolled past your posts a few times, the algorithm gets tired of losing its bets, so they aren't going to see them again. On the other hand, commenting or saving a post is a major signal. But the fastest growth hack is YOU commenting on OTHER people's posts. Also, the golden hour dead. Posts can now slowly gain traction over 72 hours. Those are only a few tips in the document my agent has prepared. There's a lot of great info and tips, so you should SAVE this post and read it later. 3 Like Comment Share Copy LinkedIn Facebook X To view or add a comment, sign in
