# 11 Reasons for Thanksgiving

"Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it." William Arthur Ward A quick note of gratitude and thanks to my friend, Audrey Jacobs at Ourcrowd.com , who sent me a similar message last year around Thanksgiving. My hope is that this Thanksgiving is one of your most memorable and meaningful yet. Here's a trio of thoughtfulness as we approach this uniquely American holiday: "As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them." - John F. Kennedy “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” - Eckhart Tolle "Forget yesterday--it has already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow--you haven't even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift--today." Steve Maraboli So I put together a list of 11 blessings since last Thanksgiving (list yours in the comments): An increase in self-awareness from meditation (little by little). Taking my young girls and wife to France & Israel for experiences that will remain with them forever. Sharing this journey with my healthy parents, mother-in-law and friends who are like family. Supporting Trade Ideas ' explosive growth and solid strategy while celebrating the important milestones. Sharing these achievements with all-star, energized partners (life-long friends), an A-Team that's growing, and a circle of trusted advisors. A healthy body to handle my schedule of travel, responsibilities, and the blocking/tackling of life's curveballs. Finding continued inspiration from EO and its events, speakers, and amazing members. Celebrating my friends' and family's achievements, birthdays, and another year of memories together. Buying low and selling high in the market - as well as reacting more sanely when the reverse happens. Finding a mantra that snaps me back to F.O.C.U.S : Love + Strength fuel my success (found during a session of Reiki in Chicago) Nuturing my network of friends and colleagues: YOU Why 11? A Master number, the 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It is instinctual, charismatic, dynamic and capable when its sights are set on a concrete goal. The 11 is the number associated with strength and justice. I'm also a big fan of living at 11 ! Make this Thanksgiving a great one for yourself. Start with a reminder that what's within you and yours is explosively awesome. Once reminded be sure to express that gratitude to the people who deserve it most. David
