OTANI FAMILY, PROUDLY SERVING OXNARD SINCE 1908 The Otani family has been proudly serving Oxnard since 1908, when Toraichi Otani opened our first business on Oxnard Blvd. - only a block away from our current location. Previous Otani’s businesses include; a Japanese grocery store, barber shop, boarding house, pool hall, produce stand and malt shop. Our current business, Otani’s Seafood, is located at 608 S A Street and operated by the 5th generation. Thank you for choosing Otani’s Seafood, family owned & operated since 1952 Otani’s is a family owned, seafood restaurant in Downtown Oxnard, CA featuring Japanese style seafood with a twist of Mexican flair. Many of the dishes we prepare are still made from Great-grandpa Izuto (Izzy) Otani's own homemade recipes; and our sauces, batters and chowders are made fresh, from scratch daily. Otani’s is still serving food according to great-grandpa Izzy’s business concept: a family-orientated, casual, no-fuss dining experience with quick friendly service. Our entire menu is available for dine-in or take-out and orders usually take between 10 and 15 minutes to prepare. All of our seafood for the restaurant can still be purchased from our market. We are happy to take special orders and only need a few days’ notice. Our market usually consists of; Pacific Red Snapper, Hawaiian Ahi-Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Orange Roughy, Atlantic Salmon, Alaskan Halibut, Swordfish, Sea Bass, Yellowtail, Albacore, Shrimp, Scallops, Oysters, Clams and Calamari.
