# Environmental Policy | GrayMeta

GrayMeta Environmental Policy Mission Statement GrayMeta knows it has a duty to protect the environment beyond what the law requires. We promise to reduce our impact on the environment and keep getting better at it. This is a key part of our business plan and how we work. We will also encourage our customers, suppliers, and others to do the same. Responsibility All employees must help meet the goals of this policy in their own areas. Goals We aim to: Follow and go beyond all relevant laws and rules. Keep improving and checking our environmental performance. Keep reducing our environmental impact. Consider the environment in our business decisions. Raise employee awareness and provide training. Paper We will use less paper in the office. We will reduce packaging as much as we can. We will buy recycled and recyclable paper products. We will reuse and recycle all paper when possible. Energy and Water We will use less energy as much as we can. We will turn off lights and electrical equipment when not in use. We will adjust heating to save energy. We will consider energy use and efficiency when buying new products. Office Supplies We will check if we can meet needs in another way. We will consider renting or sharing before buying equipment. We will think about the environmental impact of new products. We will choose environmentally friendly and efficient products when possible. We will reuse and recycle everything we can. Transportation We will reduce the need to travel and only make necessary trips. We will promote alternatives like email or video/phone conferencing. We will help those using public transport or bicycles. We will choose ‘green’ vehicles and maintain them well for efficiency. Maintenance and Cleaning We will use environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We will use environmentally friendly materials for office refurbishments. We will only use licensed and appropriate organizations to dispose of waste. Monitoring and Improvement We will follow and go beyond all relevant laws and rules. We will keep improving and checking our environmental performance. We will keep reducing our environmental impact. We will consider the environment in our business decisions. We will raise employee awareness through training. We will review this policy and related issues at our monthly management meetings. Culture We will involve staff in implementing this policy for better commitment and performance. We will update this policy at least once a year with input from staff and other stakeholders. We will provide staff with relevant environmental training. We will work with suppliers, contractors, and sub-contractors to improve their environmental performance. We will use local labor and materials when available to reduce CO2 and help the community.
