Home Departments Departments A - E Assessors Office Assessors Office The goal of the Coweta County Assessors&apos; Office is to annually appraise at fair market value all tangible real and personal property located in Coweta County by using uniform methods and procedures to equally distribute the tax burden among our taxpayers. Tax bills are handled through the Coweta County Tax Commissioner&apos;s Office. 2026 Annual Notice of Assessment Mailed The 2026 Annual Notice of Assessment was mailed to all property owners in Coweta County on June 19, 2026. This document provides notice of the value placed on your property and is not a tax bill. Property tax bills will be mailed in October. For more information about the updated format of the Annual Notice of Assessment and recent changes in the law that may affect you, view the 2026 Annual Notice of Assessment FAQ (PDF) . Request for Non-Disclosure Status Starting July 1, 2023, the removal of personally identifiable information is changing for certain individuals per OCGA 50-18-72 and OCGA 50-18-78. To request Non-Disclosure Status, please fill out the Non-Disclosure Status Form (PDF) and return it to the Assessors&apos; Office via email or in person with supporting documents (i.e., verifiable identification). Notice to Property Owners and Occupants In accordance with Georgia Law (OCGA 48-5-264-1), property owners and occupants are notified that appraisers from the Assessors&apos; Office routinely review all properties within the County. The purpose of these site visits includes general review to update records, new construction/additions/remodels, review at the owner&apos;s request, and reviews associated with property returns, sales, or appeals. The appraisers will carry identification and will be driving marked County vehicles. You are not required to be at home for the visit, but a letter/questionnaire may be left if there are questions about your property.
