Durbin Creek Elementary HOME OF THE EXPLORERS Open Clever ParentSquare Schoology for 5th Grade Families Students use Clever to access Schoology, Microsoft 365, and other links for students. For online textbooks, students in grades K-5 use Clever. Parents use ParentSquare for school communication and Schoology to keep track of schoolwork. Your respect for our dismissal policy helps maintain safety and security as we complete attendance/dismissal change/check-out reports accurately before students prepare for and move to their dismissal stations. It is often very difficult to locate students or get them ready to leave early during the last minutes prior to dismissal bell. Teachers and students are completing lessons, packing up, or on the move to dismissal stations. Attention parents: Student score reports for FAST Progress Monitoring testing and access to prior statewide assessments are available in The Family Portal . Understanding FAST and B.E.S.T. Reports for Families Report a Student Absence Please complete this online form within forty-eight (48) hours of your student’s return to school. If your student has been out for three (3) consecutive days, a note from the doctor is also requested. SJCSD Attendance Policy . Student Absence Form Durbin Creek Elementary Special Event RSVP Form Planning to attend a school event? Information for each event will be sent home with your student and will be included in Ms. Kling’s weekly Explorer Guide newsletter. Once you have event information, the following forms need to be completed by the due date, to attend. No forms will be accepted after the submission deadline . 1) DCES RSVP Event form Each event requires a new RSVP be submitted by the due date. If you have more than one child in the school, a form for each student must be submitted. Event RSVP Form 2) SCHOOL ACCESS form All visitors to the school or any school event MUST be approved through the St. Johns County School District School Access. Once the application is approved, school access is valid for three years. A new application is not needed for each event. School Access Form Connect to Us with PARENT SQUARE ParentSquare is the district’s new two-way communications platform that provides instant translations in 100+ languages. It is used for items such as newsletters, snow day notifications, group chats, calendars, report cards, volunteer sign-ups and more. ParentSquare is now used for districtwide newsletters and announcements along with two-way communication. To sign up parents/guardians: 1) download the ParentSquare app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store , and 2) register your ParentSquare account with the email address that is connected to your student in Home Access Center (HAC). Summer BreakSpot Free Meals for Kids & Teens Summer BreakSpot offers balanced breakfasts, lunches, snacks or dinners at no cost for kids 18 and under. Meals will be served on site, at no cost, at places like parks, libraries, schools, and churches. Summer 2026 High School Facility Use In an effort to promote community health and well-being this summer, SJCSD will open its high school facilities to the public on select Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. FortifyFL FortifyFL is a mobile app and web-based tool that allows students, parents, and community members in Florida to anonymously report suspicious activities, potential threats, or safety concerns related to schools. The app immediately forwards these reports to appropriate law enforcement agencies and school officials for rapid response. School Access School access (proceeding past the front office of any school) is required for every individual that is not a staff member of the St. Johns County School District. This is done through completion of the district’s volunteer application . School access is good for 3 years.
