It’s a testament to the service and amenities of The Breakers that such grand Italianate architecture — on 140 acres, no less — feels warm and welcoming. The property’s 534 guest rooms feature ocean-inspired décor and residential luxuries, making your room feel like your home away from home. Book a stay at the 21-room Flagler Club, a boutique hotel nestled atop the resort, and add such perks as a personal concierge, continental breakfast, light lunch fare, pre-dinner hors d’oeuvres and bar service, as well as after-dinner sweets — all enjoyed in the club’s private lounge and terrace, which overlooks the palm-lined Main Drive. The Ocean Course was renovated in 2018 by Rees Jones, who improved playability without sacrificing the cherished character of these legendary greens.   The Spa at The Breakers  is top-notch. The 20,000-square-foot haven offers an array of services. Ten restaurants will satisfy every culinary craving, from freshly caught seafood to classic Palm Beach cocktail-party fare with flair. We suggest checking out the retro-chic lounge HMF and Flagler Steakhouse, both of which were designed by hospitality visionaries at Tihany Design. Pick your activity of choice: the hotel offers an array of racquet sports, including tennis, pickleball and padel; golf and tennis academies; and watersports that include kayaking and paddleboarding.  Things to Know The resort sits on 140 acres, divided into different campuses spanning the property’s extensive acreage. The Golf and Racquet Club, along with Flagler Steakhouse, is just across South County Road. Echo, a sleek Asian-fusion hot spot, is a three-minute drive away on Sunrise Avenue. Henry’s Palm Beach, the newest addition to the dining collection, is a short stroll away at Via Flagler. And the Breakers Rees Jones Course is 10 miles away across the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach. The Restaurants At HMF, a diverse menu focuses on shared plates (with extra-long utensils to prove it). Flagler Steakhouse sports a bold design and sits across the street from the beachfront hotel’s main building at the Golf & Racquet Club, which overlooks the Ocean Course. The vibe here is classic steakhouse with a modern twist. For fresh catches, creative cocktails and Atlantic vistas, head to Seafood Bar at the end of The Breakers’ South Loggia.
