Technical Bulle�n: APS Primer: Leading the Way in Low -VOC Primer Solu�ons 
Dear Valued Customer, 
Formulated Materials is proud to offer Tr eadstone APS, a unique and me�culously
developed primer. This primer is especially cra�ed for use before the installa�on of
our Treadstone Gypsum cements and HydroPhase 150. A significant feature of
Treadstone APS lies in its environmental and health atributes; specifically, its
Vola�le Organic Compound (VOC) content. 
VOCs, known for their poten�al environmental and health implica�ons due to their
high vapor pressures at ambient temperatures, have been a focal point for
industries aiming to reduce ecological footprints. With Treadstone APS, we've
achieved a breakthrough by ensuring the VOC content is minuscule when the
primer is in its liquid state, measuring at less than 1 gram per liter . 
This amount is almost negligible, placing Treadstone APS among the primers with
the least VOC content available. Furthermore, once the primer dries a�er 
applica�on, it ceases to emit any VOCs at all. This is because the limited VOCs 
present in the primer evaporate as the product dries, ensuring no post - applica�on 
emissions. 
The small amount of VOC in the Treadstone APS formula isn't superfluous; it plays
specific technical roles, including assis�ng in achieving the right primer consistency
for smooth applica�on and aiding in the evapora�on process to ensure efficient
drying post - applica�on and rapid installa�on of subsequent overlays .
