3. Product Description 
Elevation ® S60 is a high-performance, self-adhering sheet waterproofing 
membrane featuring a woven synthetic. It delivers exceptional tear 
and abrasion resistance and 120-day UV exposure protection. The 
self-sealing, rubberized asphalt coating is protected by a split release 
liner, ensuring an easy, reliable installation that minimizes air pockets, 
seam issues, and potential leaks.

5. Instructions 
General Surface Prep 
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound. Repair 
any cracks or unstable areas. Remove dust, dirt, oil, grease, and 
contaminants. Sand affected areas if needed. Verify moisture levels meet 
product requirements. Address excessive moisture if necessary. Apply 
SP1 primer as specified and allow it to dry. Maintain recommended 
temperature and humidity. Avoid extreme conditions. Perform a final 
check to clear debris and confirm 
the surface meets all preparation guidelines before application. 
Installation of Product 
Always read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full precautionary 
instructions before use. 
Tools Required 
• Tape Measure 
• Utility Knife or Shears 
• Roller (Hand or Weighted) 
• Chalk Line 
• Primer Applicator (Brush or Roller) 
• Gloves for Handling 
• Sausage/Caulk Gun 
Jobsite Conditions 
• Air, substrate, and membrane temperatures must be above 40 o F 
prior to installation. 
• Balcony surfaces must maintain a positive slope of no less than 
1/4" per foot for proper drainage. 
Surface Prep 
• Apply SP1 Primer as recommended and allow it to dry. 
Application 
• Always begin installation of membrane at outside edge, or lowest 
point of the slope. 
• The membrane should extend up each vertical intersection by a 
minimum of 3" and should turn down the face of the drip edge by 
a minimum of 1" - For reference, the visual indicator marks on the 
facer are spaced 3" apart.. 
• Apply a 12" strip of S60 around the perimeter of the deck, 
extending up all vertical faces by at least 8", max 9" and onto the 
deck by at least 3" 
• Detail all terminations with SM2 Lap Sealant 
• For installation of inside and outside corners see formulated.info for 
detailed installation instructions. 
• To finish each sill plate and door frame intersection, cut an 8" 
square piece of S60 12" and make a single ct from the middle of 
one side to the center of the square creating parallel flaps. Fold and 
attach the uncut half to the door frame with one half on the sill and 
one half on the frame. Fold the flap flush with the exterior wall and 
sill plate. If needed trim the flap extending down so that it does not 
extend on to the deck. 
• Roll all surfaces thoroughly, applying at least 60 pounds of 
pressure. All surfaces must be smooth and fully adhered to the 
substrate with no visible blisters or fish mouths.

Storage & Protection 
• Keep rolls in a dry, well-ventilated area between 50 o F (10 o C) 
and 90 o F (32 o C). 
• Shelf Life of 12 months from date of manufacture when 
stored properly. 
Health Precautions 
• Follow all local safety regulations, including OSHA Section V: 
Chapter 4 for Fall Protection in Construction. 
• Always review the full label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for 
detailed precautionary instructions before use.
