# Couple Conversation Questions for Compatibility Quizzes

15 Couple Conversation Questions for an Everyday Check-In These original prompts are a screen-free companion to a relationship quiz. They are not scored and are not a clinical assessment. Choose two or three questions that fit the moment; no one owes an answer to every question. Communication What is one thing I understood well about you this week? When a conversation gets tense, what would help us pause and return to it? Is there a small request you have made that we could make more specific? Trust and respect What does keeping a small promise look like to each of us? Is there a boundary around privacy, friendships or alone time that we should clarify? What helps you feel heard when you say no? Everyday life Which everyday responsibility feels heavier than it looks from the outside? What is one adjustment that would make next week easier for each of us? How would you like to balance time together and time on your own? Shared direction What personal goal would you like me to understand better? Is there an upcoming choice where we need to hear both priorities before deciding? What would a realistic, enjoyable month together include? Emotional connection What small gesture has helped you feel cared for recently? Is there something you used to enjoy together that you would like to revisit? What is one thing you are curious to learn about each other now? Turn a conversation into one action Use this pattern: a recent example → what it meant to me → a specific request → when we will check in . For example: “When our plans changed on Tuesday, I didn't know until the last minute. I felt left out. Could we send a quick message when a shared plan changes? Let's see how that works over the next week.” Agree on a step you both accept. The exercise is an invitation to understand each other, not a way to win an argument or demand personal disclosure. Stop or choose another topic if either person wants to. Copy the check-in worksheet to keep the conversation focused.
