If the water level is rising in the car then exit and get on the roof Stay off of bridges over fast-moving water because they could be washed away without warning   AFTER the disaster: Do not drive or wade in flooded areas Listen to local authorities for any information or instructions Be sure to use generators in the correct manner and in a properly ventilated area Do not touch electrical equipment if wet or in standing water.
