Veterinarian & Clinic Owner Sarah Dutta, DVM Dr. Dutta has loved animals for as long as she can remember, and veterinary medicine was the only career she ever dreamed of. She earned her veterinary degree from Purdue University and completed a small animal medical and surgical internship at Washington State University. After working in general practice and emergency medicine in Boston and South Florida, she moved to Fernandina Beach and joined Animal Medical Clinic, purchasing the practice in 2012. She has modernized the clinic while preserving its reputation for compassionate care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys time with her husband, two children and their houseful of cats and dogs. Veterinarian Jennifer Kerlin, DVM Dr. Kerlin combines her love of animals with a passion for problem-solving in veterinary medicine. A graduate of the University of West Georgia and the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, she first joined Animal Medical Clinic as a relief veterinarian and quickly fell in love with the supportive team and her hometown community. She is dedicated to providing the best care for pets while working within each family’s budget, always keeping the bond between pets and their people at the center of her work. When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Kerlin enjoys walks with her toddler and pets, baking, and gardening. Office Manager Amber Woody Amber Woody has always loved helping animals and people. After managing restaurants for 15 years, she joined Animal Medical Clinic where she was swiftly promoted to Office Manager. She has a natural gift for organization and relationship-building, and veterinary care has become her true calling. Amber works to ensure that pets and their people feel like part of the clinic family while keeping the office running smoothly. When she’s not at the clinic, Amber enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and kayaking with her husband and their three energetic teenagers.
