As a teenager, he was captivated by the possibilities technology offered and soon began using Excel for engineering calculations early in his career. After later training in accounting, he realised that the work he most enjoyed had a name: financial modelling. Combining analytical thinking, commercial understanding and technology, the discipline immediately appealed to him and has remained the focus of his career ever since. About Stephen Stephen brings a uniquely diverse professional background spanning engineering, sales, executive leadership and financial consulting. His early career was spent in engineering design and production control for factories owned by RTZ before moving into sales within the construction industry. Following the completion of his MBA, he worked closely with the Regional CEO of a global construction company before joining KPMG Consulting, where he specialised in financial modelling. He later expanded his experience at Deloitte before joining Denver McCann at Numeritas in 2004. Over the following two decades, Stephen helped build Numeritas into a highly respected financial modelling consultancy, supporting clients across a wide range of sectors with complex funding, investment and strategic planning decisions. One particularly memorable success involved developing a refinancing model for a client’s loan portfolio that provided lenders with significantly greater confidence than the previous approach, ultimately reducing the client’s debt servicing costs by 40%. Following Numeritas’ acquisition by Factotum in February 2026, Stephen continues to help businesses translate complex commercial challenges into clear, credible financial models that support informed decision making and long-term growth.
