# Matey AI Capital Case Acquittal

Andrew Boos 1mo Report this post Proud to announce that Darwinian Ventures is an investor in Jared White at Matey AI , We met in Austin about a year ago through Alumni Ventures and Jake Laes whom I've been glad to work closely with as a speaker and judge at their various events, Absolutely insane ... Matey has done the un-thinkable and used AI across 1.5 PB (Petabytes - that is 1,500 Terabytes!) of data of all types, video, audio, images, text etc With zero recorded hallucinations. His product helps trial lawyers evaluate discovery data, and the outcome can literally be life or death. They had one case in particular where the defendant recieved a capital sentence (would be the death penalty in many states). Lawyers had tried to appeal it for 6 years unsuccessfully. Matey found the "needle in the haystack" that got this person acquitted. You read that right, they got their entire life back thanks to this product. I've been honored to work very closely with this team as a sales leader, we revised pricing and worked extremely hard getting some serious traction with the Federal Defender offices across the US. It's been a hell of a journey with a hell of a team.
