Section Number Place under: Division 07 14 16 - Cold Fluid-Applied Waterproofing or Division 07 13 26 - Self-Adhering Sheet Waterproofing For combined balcony assemblies with drainage: Division 07 14 16 is preferred. Part 1: General 1.1 SUMMARY A. Work includes: waterproofing of exterior balcony decks, breezeways, and elevated slabs including substrate priming, sheet membrane installation, transition detailing, drainage mat, and flood testing. 1.2 SUBMITTALS A. Product data sheets for : SP1 Primer, S60 Sheet Membrane, DM2 Drainage Mat B. FM TTP detail drawings applicable to this project C. Installer qualification documentation: FM-certified applicator D. Warranty application form: FM 10-Year System Warranty 1.3 WARRANTY A. Provide FM 10-Year System Warranty upon project completion. B. Warranty requires: FM-approved applicator, SP1 + S60 + DM2 assembly, passing 24-hour flood test, and completed submittal package. Part 2: Products 2.1 MANUFACTURERS A. Acceptable manufacturer: Formulated Materials (FM), Tacoma, WA. B. Primer: FM SP1 Moisture-Cured Urethane Primer - Coverage: 200 -300 sq ft per gallon on concrete - Flash-off time: 1 -4 hours at 70 degrees F before membrane B. Sheet Membrane: FM S60 Self-Adhering Modified Bitumen Membrane - Thickness: 60 mil nominal - Lap: 3 in . minimum side laps, 6 in . end laps C. Drainage Mat: FM DM2 Dimple Drainage Mat - Install dimpled side down against cured membrane Part 3: Execution 3.1 INSTALLATION A. Install per FM published installation instructions and TTP details. B. Sequence : SP1 primer, allow full flash- off , S60 membrane, cure minimum 24 hours , flood test , DM2 drainage mat, protection board, topping. 3.2 FLOOD TEST A. Perform 24 - hour flood test after membrane cure and before drainage mat. B. Water depth : minimum 2 in. above highest point of membrane field. C. Document test with dated photographs and written log. D. A passing flood test is required for FM warranty submittal. 3.3 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Notify architect 48 hours before flood test. B.
