This wreck is astonishingly well-preserved. The wings are intact, the engines still recognizable, and the cockpit structure remains in place. Approaching it out of the deep blue feels like witnessing a ghost from history appear before your eyes. The story is dramatic: crippled during a mission, the pilot attempted a landing near Vis. The plane hit the water and quickly sank, but the crew escaped and were rescued by locals.
