# The Surfbreak Code of Conduct

Surfbreak Code of Conduct Surfbreak’s Code of Conduct outlines the principles that guide the behavior of our Members both on and off Surfbreak premises. By confirming your Membership with Surfbreak, you agree to adhere to a shared value system characterized by transparency, honest interactions, and mutual respect. We are fostering a network of trusted spaces, communities, and individuals, encouraging new collaborations and connections. Join us in the location-independent movement and help us shape a new way of life. ​ 1. Application Process Upon applying for and acceptance of a Membership, you commit to the following guidelines. All applications and interviews undergo thorough vetting by Surfbreak to ensure safety, respect,  and harmony within our spaces. ​ 2. Commitment to Inclusion At Surfbreak, we welcome individuals of all ethnicities, genders, orientations, abilities, and ages. Our community thrives on diversity and independence, leveraging the remote work revolution to redefine living. It’s essential for all Members to feel safe and supported.   Surfbreak Spaces are built on the foundation of inclusion. Any behavior deemed discriminatory, disruptive, or abusive, including verbal or physical abuse, derogatory or discriminatory language, gestures or actions, harassment, sexual harassment, racism, sexism, or any other targeted comments violating local, state, or federal laws or causing personal offense, is strictly prohibited. Surfbreak takes any and all violations to the community and members seriously, with a zero tolerance policy. Such behaviors will result in actions including immediate revocation of Membership and cancellation of any or all future bookings.   If you witness or experience any of the above behaviors at a Surfbreak location, online or offline, report it to the location’s Community Manager or via email to info@surfbreakcoliving.com . ​ 3. Coliving Etiquette Coliving and coworking is a shared experience. To ensure that everyone enjoys our spaces, Members should keep living areas clean and tidy, maintain respectful noise levels, take calls in private rooms, and be considerate of fellow residents. ​ 4. Embracing Collaboration Collaboration and kindness are at the heart of Surfbreak, whether you’re participating in an online event or sharing a workspace. Contribution during social occasions and interactions with other Members is crucial. These individual interactions build a robust support system for the location-independent lifestyle. ​ 5. Commitment to Sustainability At Surfbreak, we leave things better than we found them. We strive to operate in the most environmentally friendly manner possible and encourage our Members to do the same. This involves traveling mindfully, engaging with the local community, giving back through volunteer events, and being conscious of your environmental impact. ​ 6. Adherence to Legal Standards Members are expected to comply with all local laws and regulations. Any Member found violating local, state, or government laws at any Surfbreak location will be removed from the community. ​ 7. Membership Benefits As a Member of Surfbreak, you gain access to all Surfbreak locations with a reservation, can enjoy Surfbreak perks, and take advantage of Surfbreak deals. By being a part of Surfbreak, you contribute to a vibrant, respectful, and supportive community that values diversity, collaboration, professional growth, and sustainability. We embody the spirit of aloha, respecting the land that is hosting us and the people who surround us.
