The original building is the left side (three windows wide - see the line between the two sides). It was built in 1908 in the Second Renaissance Revival style with Richards, McCarty & Bulford as the architect. See the second image from the McClung Historical Collection for the original building (on the left) with some different looking columns on the street level. In 1928 when the Tennessee Theater was constructed, the right 9 stories were built over the theater lobby (the middle and right buildings in the historical photo were replaced).
