The garage does not accept cash payment, credit card (credit or debit) is required. Disabled parking available: Floors 1, 3, 4, 5. Elevators are available: Floors 3 thru 6. Monday - Friday : Parking in the garage is free for one hour with a validated* ticket from the Library. Saturdays : Parking in the garage is free with a validated* ticket from the Library. *Please note tickets will be validated while supplies last. Special Events During special events such as Art Walk, Jax Book Fest, large private events at the Conference Center at Main Library, etc. the parking garage charges a special event rate and there is no validation available for library customers. Street Parking (metered) Fees are enforced weekdays from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Street parking is free on the weekends and after 6 p.m. Tours of the Main Library Bring a class or other large group to take a tour of the Main Library! For guided tours, please make your request at least one week in advance. We also offer a Map and Guide of Main Library for those interested in self-guided tours. Request a Tour of the Main Library Field Trips Book an Elementary School Field Trip ! Library staff will present a fun storytime and tour of the library. Teen field trips to the Main Library are one hour and may include a tour of the library, a presentation on library services, and time to check out books. To request a field trip for your middle and high school students, email jplyouthservices@coj.net . Public Art Tours of the Main Library Augusta Savage, Al Held, Kathryn Freeman, Lee Adams, Jerry Uelsmann. Did you know that works by these artists and many more are on permanent display at the Main Library? (Re)discover these remarkable paintings, sculptures, and photographs with a trained volunteer as your guide. We offer small group tours showcasing the beautiful public art and architecture on the first Wednesday (during Art Walk) and one Saturday a month! Art Tours at the Main Library Be sure to also checkout the rotating local art exhibitions in the Main Library's galleries. *Exhibition Space for Artist(s) Main Library has 31 feet of hanging rail for displaying art in the Atrium on the 2nd floor . *Please see the Policies page for the Library's Exhibit Policy and the associated Request to Exhibit form for more information. Meeting Rooms are available for nonprofit or community groups. Groups which are affiliated with a business or commercial organization, enterprise, or any other entity which exists for profit may not use the meeting rooms.
