The park features an outdoor skate park and a concession stand. There is also a covered pavilion originally designed for roller hockey, which has been repurposed for holding concerts and other exciting events! Union Hill Park offers visitors with direct access to the Big Creek Greenway . The City of Alpharetta built this park for skating in 1995. However, with the decline of roller hockey, this park’s usage has dropped significantly. City administrators continue to discuss ideas on how to best redevelop the park. The skating area will not be affected by redevelopment efforts since it maintains its popularity being the only designated skate park in Alpharetta.
