As a marketer, I love the potential of AI to enhance brand performance, optimize ad sets, and improve creative output. However, as a consumer, the rise of AI-generated content often frustrates me when I see it. Too frequently, it feels inauthentic and lacks the genuine connection that builds brand trust. Brands filling their pages with the SAME scripted paid user-generated content, terribly fake ai content for product launches, and influencers constantly promoting products that don't fit their niche. This disconnect between brand + agency strategies and consumer experiences is something that needs evolving. 15 1 Comment Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Marco Caracappa Marco Caracappa 5mo Report this post Marco Caracappa shared this Looking for an SDR to join my team! Healthcare is one of the most complex and regulated marketing environments in the world. For more than a decade, Cardinal has earned its reputation by committing fully to that complexity and delivering outcomes grounded in trust, compliance, and real-world measurement. Rather than dilute that focus, we’ve invested in it. Cardinal now operates as Power Digital’s dedicated healthcare division, with the same leadership, team, culture, and healthcare-first mission, powered by Power Digital’s enterprise-grade data intelligence and measurement capabilities. We grew this out from under Power Digital Marketing 's wing in January of 2025, and in the last nine months we've: • Built out the new brand • Designed and launched the website • Written dozens of articles and pieces of content • Designed and deployed dozens of ads • Attended over 10 conferences And most importantly, generated $15 million dollars in pipeline value. I think to be able to do that in the first nine months of any business is something to celebrate. Are we satisfied? Not even close. But are we proud? Absolutely. A couple of things to call out here: • It took us several months to really nail our GTM • We had the added advantage of Power's backing • I already had a small but loyal audience • We had ad + conference budget from day 1 The other major advantage is that our team has been well established product leaders in the space for years, and they came with their own energy, credibility, and reputation. Some more stats to give perspective: • We're over $1m in MRR and steadily growing • Our monthly retainers are $6-50k, avg $20k • We have dedicated sales, marketing, and solutions personnel • We invested low six figures in conferences + ads Here's what's working, led by Mikayla Furlan and team: Thought Leadership • Our LinkedIn + speaking strategy is core • My posts alone are 800k organic imps YTD • Others on the team are similar/slightly less Conferences • I was skeptical, but Mallory Wilberding is a beast • Every event we go to, we're able to generate 15-20 leads • Having a really clean elevator pitch helps Category Interest • We're in a growing category, so it's "easy" • There's a lot of competition, but, that helps us all • Strong investment/interest from brands = money Partnerships • We have a number of strategic partnerships • They send us warm leads and vice versa • Built-in referral engine These are things that are "distinct" from the usual stuff that always happens with any good startup -- personal referrals, word of mouth, demand capture, yada yada. All that stuff is important too, but, we've made concerted efforts to actually go out and manufacture incrementality (ha) in the above. Similarly, we're not taking a very granular approach to measurement right now. If you're a business with a sales-led, high ACV motion, reach out to me and we can share more details on our marketing tactics. #b2b #startup 74 7 Comments Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Marco Caracappa Marco Caracappa 1y Report this post Marco Caracappa shared this 🎯 Is 30% the sweet spot for consumers to purchase on Prime Day? That's the average starting discount so far across categories, when looking solely at Prime Day items. Current Observations 🔍 📱 Electronics delivered deep average savings. Apple gear, earbuds, and vacuums have been standout performers. 🥣 🧹 Kitchen gear and vacuums were hot targets, with big markdowns from Ninja, Keurig, Dyson, and Vitamix. 👕 👚 Fashion experienced impressive deals across denim, activewear, and accessories, with frequent average discounts of 40–50 %. 💄 Beauty products consistently hit mid-30 % reductions, with spikes for specific items (e.g., Dyson hair tools ~21 %). 🧸 💪 Toys, games, and fitness gear saw variable but occasionally massive deals public_profile__posts 10 2 Comments Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Marco Caracappa Marco Caracappa 1y Report this post Marco Caracappa posted this 🚨 The Tariff Clock is Ticking and eComm brands are on the front lines. As of July 8, the White House confirmed there will be no delay: The new “reciprocal” tariffs take effect August 1 and they’re hitting fast. 💣 25% tariffs are rolling out for 14 more countries. 🔌 50% tariff on imported copper 📦 Maersk reports the avg effective tariff is now 21% and climbing. For eCommerce brands, this means: 🔻 Sourcing gets more expensive 🔻 Copper-heavy categories (electronics, packaging, EVs) are now 🔬 🔻 Higher COGS + volatile ad performance = squeezed margins 🔻 Strategic agility is now survival mode Brands need to look at: ✅ SKU-level tariff exposure modeling ✅ Paid media realignment for ROAS efficiency ✅ Conversion rate & AOV optimization to protect margin ✅ Strategic sourcing pivots ✅ Owned channel growth to reduce paid CAC dependence Margins will be tested. The brands that adapt now will lead Q4. #ecommerce #tariffs #digitalstrategy #PowerDigital #trumptariffs #paidmedia #supplychain #cpg #ecommercemarketing #cro #retailstrategy 13 Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Marco Caracappa reposted this Report this post Marco Caracappa reposted this Ben Dutter Ben Dutter 1y Marco Caracappa reposted this At fusepoint we don't work with every brand. Here's how we think about our customers: Sub $15m Revenue / Year =================== Main service: Strategy • We'll build a go-to-market strategy for you • What's your ideal customer profile • What's your ideal media plan • Messaging framework • Testing roadmap • P&L analysis For these "smaller" brands there's a lot that we can help with sharpening their overall marketing program. The most common mistakes we see are that they are just 100% reliant on Meta and/or Google, have no formality around testing messages, angles, or price, and don't know their customer economics well. $15m - $100m Revenue / Year ====================== Main services: Strategy + Testing • We can build/refine your go-to-market • Help you segment out your audience • Figure out multiple scenario plans • More sophisticated messaging • Running incrementality tests • P&L, forecast, MMM These brands are often starting to get into multiple revenue streams, but they're still dominated by 1-2. They might have concepts of their LTV:CAC, but it's all in a blender. They probably don't know what makes their champions different than their profit anchors. We start getting all that organized and build MMM validated through a handful of incrementality tests per year. $100m - $1B Revenue / Year ===================== Main services: Strategy + MMM + Testing + Data • We do the whole enchilada for these brands • Usually 6-10 incrementality tests per year • A comprehensive MMM with owned inputs • Multi-revenue stream incrementality • Data infrastructure and cleanup • More custom analyses • Internal education Ironically these bigger businesses are often more sophisticated but less mature in their measurement. A lot of our work is initial infrastructure, cleanup, and education, followed by preliminary MMM work and getting leadership on the same page that Meta spend doesn't just add to DTC but in-store and 3PR too. Brands larger than $1B we'll take on, but at that point it's more of a custom engagement often with highly specific problems. A lot of companies come to us and try to get a full blown measurement strategy and they're doing like 6-10m a year, and while we can do some work in that category, it's not a good use of their money. Much better would be getting their media plan and ICP/messaging dialed in (which we can help with too). Where do you live on this maturity curve? #mmm #incrementality #gtm 38 5 Comments Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Marco Caracappa Marco Caracappa 1y Report this post Marco Caracappa shared this Have you realized that most AI prompts give wrong answers, especially when you know the outcome? *whispers... garbage in garbage out* A colleague warned me, "Be careful... it tends to agree with whatever point you want it to make."
