All trips begin and end at NOC’s outposts inside Azalea River Park at Sandy Springs and Don White Memorial Park within the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. Guests will gear up and take a short shuttle to the put-in for a half day float down the Chattahoochee River. All minors (17 and under) must be accompanied by a participating adult during the activity. The maximum weight for this craft is 250 lbs. Participants must be capable of walking on flat mixed surfaces for 200 yards to and from the river access. Participants must be willing and able to carry equipment, kayak, paddles, and any personal equipment to river access points. Guides are available to help move equipment for those that require assistance. If participant wishes to explore surrounding river area, walking on rocky, wet, slippery, or varied surfaces will be required. Participants must meet age, weight, and chest size minimums and maximums specific to this trip. Please read our General Participant Eligibility & Recommendations for more information. Tube rentals include a tube for 1 person, a shuttle ride, and a personal flotation device (PFD). Guests should wear shoes that stay securely on your feet, quick-dry clothing, swimsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a water bottle.
