Located at 311 Osborne Street, the "Grand Dame of St. Marys," Orange Hall is an extraordinary example of antebellum life in Greek Revival style dating back to circa 1830 -1838.  She reigns in grandeur as you make your entrance into the historic district of Downtown St. Marys.  The grounds are open to the public year-round for the education and enjoyment of the community and its visitors. The St. Marys Community Market is held here each Saturday 9am-1pm. The perfect traditional Southern style venue for your outdoor wedding or event. St. Marys Community Market is held each Saturday on the grounds of Orange Hall. About Orange Hall  Deeded to the City of St. Marys by the Gilman Paper Company in 1960 as a cultural center, Orange Hall is one of St. Marys' fixed icons. The site has endured many uses since its construction in c. 1830-38 as a single private residence for the Horace Pratt family. She has housed soldiers, families, crooks, books, artifacts, and offices. Yet even with interior modifications (doors, walls, floors, and utilities) over the last 185 years, her adaptations have never diminished her grand appearance on Osborne Street.   The home is 9,500 square feet, with 3 floors, 12 fireplaces, an Austrian Crystal chandelier, a Tiffany chandelier and an elegant staircase.  Current members of the Orange Hall Management Committee can be found here .   Reimagining History for Future Events & Cultural Heritage Ed INTERIOR BRINGING HER BACK INTERIOR In the last 5 years, exterior construction and maintenance work has addressed structural damage, replaced aging air conditioning units, and installed an interior fire suppression system. Sadly, her interior needs much attention due to past water damage, normal wear and tear, and age deterioration of trim and finishes. GROUNDS BRINGING HER BACK INTERIOR The grounds of Orange Hall have a somewhat disjointed history. They have been hedged with orange trees, organized with formal plantings and vegetable gardens, and filled with an eclectic mix of outbuildings. Used for weddings, festivals, and private parties, the grounds encourage memories of grand southern gatherings.
