# Sunday Night Dread

Carly Vivian 5mo Edited Report this post Here's what the “Sunday Night Dread” is trying to tell you. Have you ever had a perfectly good weekend — maybe even a great one — and then Sunday evening rolls around and something shifts? You can feel it in your body before your mind catches up. That tightness. That low hum of dread. Not because tomorrow is hard. But because tomorrow is more of the same. Here's the thing nobody talks about: The Sunday Night Dread doesn’t hit people who are struggling. It hits people who are succeeding. You're the one everyone counts on. The one who walks into the room and delivers — every single time. Fifty, sixty, seventy hours a week of excellence. Your track record is impressive. Your reputation is solid. And yet. Sunday night comes and you're quietly doing the math in your head. How many more weeks of this do I have in me? How many more years can I keep running at this pace before something breaks? I lived in that space for longer than I should have. I kept pushing through because that's what high performers do, right? We push through. We power on. We tell ourselves the tiredness is just part of the deal. But pushing through isn't a strategy. It's a habit. And it's an expensive one — it costs you your energy, your health, and eventually, your passion for the very thing you built your career on. The Sunday night tread is actually trying to tell you something. It's not a sign that you're ungrateful or weak. It's a signal that something needs to change — not your work ethic, but your working model. If this is your Sunday night, I see you. You're not alone in this. I'd love to hear from you — what does your version of the Sunday Night Dread look like? Drop a comment or send me a message. Let's talk about it. 10 6 Comments Like Comment Share Copy LinkedIn Facebook X Abi Demi 5mo Report this comment This I can relate to. The Sunday Night Dread often means our resilience is stretched thin, so it's a great cue to reassess boundaries and reconnect with what energises us at work.
