Place the next course of Ladera wall 
blocks, making sure to stagger bond lines 
between course 1 and 2. Check level, and 
repeat to preferred height. 
Place and tamp base (if necessary). Level 
with sand. 
Add a decorative flourish by offsetting 
one layer of wall block, to create a visual 
column break. Cut pieces to fill the gaps. 
Place the first course, and check level. 
Then, place two Ladera wall blocks, flat 
edge to flat edge, in parallel. 
Top with softening greenery or outdoor/ 
solar lighting, and enjoy! 
Apply QUIKRETE ® Construction adhesive.

Identify the preferred location for the column 
end, and prep the foundation. Dig down, so 
that the first course, along with the founda - 
tional substructure, will be buried.
