# Life on the Satilla River

Skip to content Parks and Trails Pavillion and Gazebo Reservations City of Woodbine-owned parks have been maintained by the City of Woodbine since January 1, 2026. The City of Woodbine owns the Riverwalk, 110 Community Park, and Theater Park. The Waterfront is jointly owned by the City and County. The pavilion is located on the waterfront, and the gazebo is located along the nature trail. Reservations: Reservations can be made after January 2nd for each calendar year. Please note that neither area is not available on the last Friday and Saturday of April. Fees are due at the time of reservation. Refund/ Cancellation Policy: No refunds for inclement weather. Cost: $100.00 deposit (CASH ONLY) and $100.00 rental fee. Organized gathering or event involving 10 or more people must have to obtain a Special Event Permit application at City Hall for approval from the City Administrator before they will be allowed to use the space. The following are strictly prohibited: No drugs, tobacco, or alcohol allowed. No fires or fireworks. No overnight camping. The trail continues beneath the U.S. Highway 17 Bridge before transitioning onto the historic railroad corridor, now transformed into a wide, paved multi-use trail. The park features a variety of amenities designed to accommodate both organized athletics and casual outdoor activities. Visitors can enjoy football and baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, a children’s playground, a concession stand, and conveniently located restrooms. With facilities for athletes, families, and spectators, Woodbine 110 Community Park offers something for visitors of all ages. Riverwalk Beginning at the Woodbine Waterfront Park, the Woodbine Riverwalk rises above the marsh on a scenic boardwalk overlooking the Satilla River. Nature Trail The Woodbine Nature Trail begins where the Riverwalk transitions from the historic railroad corridor into a more natural setting, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the beauty of Coastal Georgia. Winding beneath a canopy of native trees, the trail provides a peaceful environment for walking, jogging, biking, birdwatching, and enjoying the area’s diverse wildlife. As the trail continues, it passes through Theater Park, where visitors can relax, enjoy the park’s amenities, or take a break before continuing their journey. Beyond Theater Park, the Nature Trail extends farther north, providing additional opportunities to explore Woodbine’s natural landscapes and outdoor recreation. Woodbine 110 Community Park The Woodbine 110 Community Park is located at 307 W 4th St., Woodbine, GA 31569. It serves as a central gathering place for youth sports and community recreation. Waterfront Park and Boat Ramp The Satilla River Waterfront Park & Boat Ramp is located at 103 E. 1st Street, Woodbine, GA. The park features a double concrete boat ramp with a floating courtesy dock, paved parking, restrooms, and free public access. It is open daily from sunrise to sunset. The park also serves as the starting point for the scenic Woodbine Riverwalk & Rail Trail, a paved trail extending approximately 2.9 miles (1.25 miles from the waterfront with an additional 1.66-mile extension), making it ideal for walking, biking, fishing, and paddling. Visitors can also enjoy picnic pavilions, a boardwalk, and convenient fishing access throughout the park. The waterfront park is the traditional home of the annual Woodbine Crawfish Festival, held on the last weekend in April. Woodbine Theater Park The Woodbine Theater Park, located at 1102 Hwy 17, Woodbine, GA 31569. It is a historic outdoor park built on the site of the former Jackson Theatre . It features a grand brick entrance, walking trails, outdoor fitness stations, and picnic areas, serving as a scenic trailhead for the East Coast Greenway The park pays homage to its cinematic roots, incorporating bricks from the original 1940s theater wall into its grand entryway. It directly connects to the Woodbine Riverwalk & Rail Trail, making it a perfect starting point for a longer walk or bike ride through town.
