Theresa Mercado Head of Payroll Something you might not know about Theresa This is the second time she’s worked with Bobby – they’ve been reunited! Her favourite city London, as it’s home and has something for everyone. What got Theresa started Like most payroll patriots, Theresa ‘fell’ into the payroll world. She left school at 17 and landed herself a full time position as a payroll assistant for a growing cinema company. Theresa is excellent at Providing practical, business-focussed payroll advice Understanding what the business is trying to achieve with their people and payroll structure and providing them with different options to do so Saving business owners time and stress when it comes to managing their payroll About Theresa Theresa gained an extensive amount of experience in her years working for a growing cinema company, including migrating and processing the payroll in-house for the UK sites and for the Jersey site payrolls too. Her positive approach to new challenges saw her accomplish and grow incredibly successfully. Due to the relocation of the company head office, she moved onto working with an accountancy firm. With them she gained bookkeeping and company secretarial experience alongside assisting the firm in becoming a Bacs approved organisation. During her seventeen years there she built the payroll department from two to a strong team of six. Over the years, they saw many evolutions in payroll including RTI, Auto Enrolment and of course the now famous Furlough. It was an incredible journey that she thoroughly enjoyed. She’s now joined Factotum to apply all of her knowledge and experience to build and pave the way for the success of a growing payroll department.
