It can be used directly as a wear surface in industrial environments or as a base beneath epoxy, polyurethane, or traffic coatings. With its very high wear resistance, excellent strength, and fast set time, CM 940 delivers smooth, reliable performance for demanding projects. Description Recommended Usage Substrate Requirements Packaging Data Sheets Description CM 940 is formulated for industrial-grade applications and heavy traffic conditions. It offers high adhesion to properly primed concrete, excellent surface durability, and flexibility for both wear-layer use and as an underlayment. For indoor use only on concrete substrates Approved as a finished wear surface in industrial environments or as a self-leveling base for epoxy or polyurethane coatings Pumpable for efficient, large-area installation Compressive strength: avg. 5200 psi (class C30) Flexural strength: avg. 1300 psi (class F7) Surface tensile bond strength: > 290 psi (2.0 MPa) at 28 days Very high resistance to wear; water-damage resistant Fire classification: A1fl Working time: 15–25 minutes @ 70 °F Final set: 1–3 hours Coverable with tile after 12 hours Paintable with epoxy/polyurethane coatings after 3–5 days Recommended Usage Approved for use on clean, structurally sound, properly prepared concrete substrates in: Industrial floors requiring a wear surface Self-leveling base beneath epoxy, polyurethane, or traffic coatings Environments requiring high strength and very high wear resistance Substrate Requirements Concrete surface must be free of dust, grease, cement skin, or weak material Surface prep: profile CSP #2–3, adhesion ≥ 1.5 MPa Substrate RH ≤ 95% before pouring Must be primed with PP 600 before application Recommended ambient temp: 48–80 °F (substrate ≥ 48 °F) Newly cast concrete must cure ≥ 28 days before leveling Packaging 44 lb (20 kg) bags and big bags Shelf life: 6 months unopened, stored dry on plastic-coated pallets Data Sheets Technical Data Sheet Related products Combimix® CM 960 Industrial Super Top Combimix® CM 760 Fiber Combimix® BetongSpackel Combimix® CM 750 S
