# Iris Journal 2026

A complete, scalable QC solution 
California Senate Bill 576 (SB 576)
which goes into effect after
July 2, 2026, is a law that
mandates streaming platforms
utilize audio-normalization tools
to ensure their commercials aren't
significantly louder than the main
program content, like the federal
regulations (CALM Act) for
broadcast TV.
The CALM Modernization Act
has been introduced in the
US Congress to update the original
law but has not been passed yet.
